Hello London, Wanna Connect!
I couldn’t find email address for some people and there is likely some people who read this who I don’t know and haven’t connected with so I’ve cut/pasted an email I sent out here.

Hello!
Well to start out with I’ll give you some background because this email may seam a bit random. I personally, Bill, have been blogging for years and podcasting for three years at the end of this month. I do it out of total love and by no means professionally. About a year ago, after attending a few different podcasting events and hearing about all the cool meetups happening all over, I started searching for other bloggers and podcasters in and around London. I had started this site, http://blogldn.com, just shortly before to blog about London and foster a community around. I found a couple of people and we meet each other at Molly Bloom’s in London. Ever since we’ve been meeting there on the first Wednesday of every month and the dozen or so of us have gotten to know each other pretty well. This, in my opinion, is one of the coolest things I’ve been involved with and mostly at the credit of everyone else that has attended not just me!

To get to the point, over the last month I’ve really felt the desire to make this grow even more. I’ve been searching places like twitter to find people, adding their Blogs to my reader, grabbing their (YOUR) contact info and compiling a list of people to contact. If you don’t want to participate or never want to hear about this again, please send me a quick note and I’ll remove you from the list right away. By the way I should say this is in no way an email handler or automated script, it’s just me with an email contact group set up in GMail, so if you ask to be removed and I mess it up somehow please don’t get mad just send another note and I’ll do my best! Anyways, I just want to point out a couple things to all you cool people.

1) Out next Meet Up is Wednesday April 2 2008 at 7:30 at Molly Blooms, 700 Richmond St. N, London, Ontario.
If you want more info you can go lots of places, first I’d suggest http://blogldn.com/?p=81 where you can find links to event pages on Facebook, eventful, upcoming.org and meetup.com. Basically were just a bunch of people who love playing with or are interested in computers, blogging, podcasting and such. No knowledge or anything is required except an open attitude towards meeting new people and sharing!

2) This weekend is the Indie Media Fair (http://londonontario.indymedia.org/?q=node/178 Saturday, March 29, from 1 – 5 pm in the Stevenson-Hunt rooms at the Central Branch of the London Public Library) and Titus (http://titusferguson.com) and I will be headed down and we’re working on getting a table there with some fliers to hand out. I’ve never been so I can’t say what it will be like but, I will be bringing my video camera to shoot some videos and maybe see if I can interview some people form London for the BlogLDN website. If your going to be there let me know and maybe we can shake hand and chat or something.

If you are interested in posting articles to the BlogLDN website go to the site and click on register in the very top right corner, register and send me an email with your details and that your interested in blogging there and I’ll set up the rest. I’d love to get more London related content, any reviews, news, opinions or anything really is great. I do not want to edit the site, I will be reading everything and will delete and/or ban posts and people on an as needed basis but I’m pretty liberal so it probably won’t be an issue. Also if you want a link in the sidebar here to your site just send a email with the link and I’ll add it as soon as I can. I’d love to hear back from you, maybe even see you out at an event! 2008 London Indie Media Fair
HUGE thanks to Greg at From My Bottom Step for the tip off that London Media Fair 2008 is going down in a couple weeks. Saturday, March 29, from 1 – 5 pm in the Stevenson-Hunt rooms at the Central Branch of the London Public Library.

“The room will be filled with people showing, selling and trading their independent media, including zines, comics, silkscreened patches, posters, literature / art / political content, local music, photography, film, and online media.”
.
There is also some talks going on that sound pretty interesting so… I really want to make it out to this event, I might be able to drum up more attendees for our meetup, if you are going let me know and we can meet up there.
