To start out there has been a lot of new shows announced in the last day or so. To keep it clean here I’ll leave out the info and just link to the events, so click them to find out more! First up is JOHN FOGERTY – Sat. July 21st, 2007 – 8:00pm next is The Moody Blues – Wedneday July 25, 2007 – 8:00pm and finally CIRQUE DU SOLEIL – SALTIMBANCO is playing a number of shows! As for events at the JLC for this weekend tomorrow night (Thursday) the London Knights open Round 3 of the playoffs against the Plymouth Whalers and Game 3 will be back on London on Monday. Saturday we play host to Jann Arden and John Mayer will take the stage on Sunday! I have tickets to see John Mayer and I’m looking forward to that show! I should have a review of that show sometime next week.
The Western Fair Grounds will be hosting The London Spring Home & Garden Show Friday until Sunday. If you are planning on attending any of these events and wish to write a review for these of any other events happening in London send me an email and I can set you up an account to contribute to the site!

So I think the consensus among the attendees of the geek dinner a couple weeks ago was that we should make it a regular thing. In my opinion the day, time and venue worked pretty good. There wasn’t a ton of action because it was a Wednesday at 7:30 and to make it easy to remeber as a monthly event how about the first Wednesday of each month? I’ve set up an event on Facebook but for those who aren’t there or don’t want to be here’s a recap

Sorry I’m a day later from the normal publication date for this post but post PodCampNYC things are keeping me busy as well as real work so… There is the Northeast Regional High School Rodeo going on at the Western Fair Grounds this Friday Saturday and Sunday. Email rawhide@rawhiderodeo.com for info. At the JLC tonight Il Divo takes the stage. Friday we play host to The Soo as they take on our Knights for Game 5 of the Second round of the OHL playoffs. Game 7 of that series will be in London on Monday. The Harlem Globetrotters are in on Saturday and Sunday we’ll see Harry Connick Jr.

Last night Titus Ferguson, John Leschinski and David Peralty joined me at Molly Blooms Pub here in London for a geek dinner. We had a great time. I love getting together with like minded people who get it. I think everyone can learn a lot from each other and I hope more people show up to future meetups. I think everyone would agree we should try and make it a monthly thing. One thing I have noticed, coming from the Podcast side of this “New Media” thing, is that there aren’t many podcasters in London but there is a lot of bloggers. I don’t know exactly why this is but that’s what I’ve noticed. Aside from David, who co-hosts on a couple shows (Wordpress Podcast and TechCanuk), I was the only real podcaster. I have been trying to move backwards into blogging more, so I think this is really good for me and I hope I can seed some people to start podcasting. Anyways there is a audio file over on my blog which is just some thoughts I had on the way home.
